Kathy grew up in Huntington as one of five sisters. She graduated in 1977 from Huntington Catholic High School and was a class co-valedictorian. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Forensic Studies with honors from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1981. Kathy then attended a three-month course titled “Estates and Trusts” at the Institute for Paralegal Training in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, receiving certification in December, 1981.
Kathy worked as a paralegal from 1982 to 1987 for law firms in Indianapolis, Chicago, and Omaha doing corporate, tax, probate, and estate planning work. She joined Kline’s CPA Group in 1987. She is currently working in the areas of estate planning, estate and gift taxation, and fiduciary and individual income tax preparation.
Kathy works on estate and gift tax planning for many of our clients. She has taken numerous courses to expand her knowledge in these areas. Kathy also does extensive work in the estate and trust area and oversees our estate and trust income tax preparation for the firm. She also prepares individual income tax returns for her clients.
Kathy is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she is a member of the Ladies Sodality. She also volunteers for the Open Door, a meal outreach program. Kathy also helps her husband run their warehouse business.
Kathy has been married to Tim for 39 years. They have four sons. Their youngest two sons were adopted from the Philippines, one of whom is finishing his final year of college. Kathy enjoys traveling, walking, and spending time at the lake with friends and family, which includes four wonderful grandchildren.
