Trent was born and raised in Huntington County and loves the small country feel of Huntington. He lived in southern Huntington County for 23 years, but now resides in Clear Creek Township with his wife, Melissa, and daughters, Vera and Lydia.
Trent graduated from Manchester College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting in 2006. After completing an internship with Kline’s CPA his senior year, he began full-time in December of 2006. He became a partner of the firm in July, 2015.
Trent specializes in agri-business tax and consulting. His duties include tax preparation and planning for individuals and businesses, accounting and financial statement preparation, succession planning for businesses, not-for-profit return preparation, and tax research. Trent obtained his certified public accounting license in2014 and has earned certification with the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent.
Trent is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Indiana CPA Society. Trent has served as President for Love In The Name of Christ of Huntington County from 2015-2020, as Treasurer of the board of directors for the United Way ofHuntington County from 2009-2014. Currently serves on the board of directors for Huntington University Foundation, Pathfinders Services and Parkview Huntington Hospital. Trent, his wife, Melissa, and their daughters attend Markle Church of Christ, where he serves as a deacon and Financial Secretary.
In Trent’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his daughters outside, occasional work on the farm, and watching football, basketball, and baseball. His passion is college football season and watching the Irish of Notre Dame. He also has a thirst for horsepower and you’ll see him out and about in the spring, summer and fall in his sports cars.
